Cape Aloe

El NAT Les seus Cape Aloe

Nom científic
Aloe ferox
Procedència
South Africa

Also known as: Bitter Aloe, Red Aloe and Tap Aloe

Its specific epithet “ferox” comes from the Greek word for fierce, referring to the plant’s spiny-edged leaves.

Aloes have the virtue of storing rainwater inside their leaves, allowing them to survive long periods of drought. The water storage tissue inside the aloe leaves has long been used as treatment for skin conditions, wounds and burns and as a moisturizer.
