The Museum of Natural Science and the Botanical Garden of Barcelona are opening to the public once again

The Museum and the Garden are opening their doors, while guaranteeing the application of protection measures at all times.

New opening times 

  • From June 15th: Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Botanical Garden and the Historic Botanical Garden.
  • From June 16th: Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Museum.

At present and until 31 August, there is a 50% discount on admission to the exhibitions.
Admission will continue to be free of charge on Sundays from 3 p.m. onward and all day long the first Sunday of every month.
Be sure to use a card to pay for tickets.
Because there is no cloakroom service, people carrying motorbike helmets or large objects will not be admitted.

We recommend that people with functional diversity contact the Museum before their visit, by writing to activmuseuciencies@bcn.cat or calling 93 256 60 02.

Measures to ensure a safe visit at the Museum

  • We frequently clean the spaces, and particularly the areas and elements of public use.
  • We have set up several hygiene points with hand sanitiser.
  • We have removed the exhibit sheets and information pamphlets.
  • We have reduced hall capacities, to guarantee safe social distancing and access to the Museum.
  • The Media Library, the Science Nest (hall 0-6) and the interactive features of the exhibits  “Planeta Vida” and “Micos. Una història de primats” are currently out of service until their use is authorised by the health authorities.
  • We have set up several information points and signs to remind visitors of the required safety rules during their visit at the Museum.

Please remember the following rules:

  • The use of a mask is required throughout the Museum visit.
  • Please remain on the mandatory circuit.
  • Please keep the safe social distance of 2 metres between yourself and other visitors throughout the entire Museum tour and in rest areas, and avoid forming groups.
  • Please wash your hands with hand sanitiser when entering the centre and throughout the museum tour, and always do so before and after touching or using a door, button panel or other elements.
  • Please do not touch display cases or information panels.
  • Please heed the information and instructions provided by the public service staff.

Measures to ensure a safe visit at the Garden

  • We frequently clean the spaces, and particularly the areas and elements of public use.
  • We have removed the exhibit sheets, information pamphlets, touch-screens and tactile resources.
  • We have reduced the capacities of the areas to guarantee safe social distancing and access to the Garden.

Please remember the following rules:

  • The use of a mask is required throughout the entire garden visit whenever safe social distancing cannot be guaranteed.
  • Please wash your hands with hand sanitiser at the entrance to the Garden.
  • Please keep the safe social distance of 2 metres between yourself and other visitors throughout the entire tour and avoid forming groups.
  • Please do not touch information panels.
  • Please heed the information and instructions provided by the public service staff.
