The technical, conservation and research staff of the Natural Science Museum of Barcelona (MCNB) regularly publishes journal articles, book chapters, conference communications, posters, etc. The Documentation Centre collects these publications and publishes descriptions for the MCNB community at RECERCAT (Catalan research repository), which only includes open-access publications
Currently, scientific production published since 2017 is stored there.
Google Scholar profiles
The Documentation Centre maintains and updates two Google Scholar profiles.
The scientific production profile includes all the bibliographic references for publications by authors associated with the Museum.As well as facilitating bibliographic management, this profile provides information on the global impact of the scientific production of the Museum.
The collections profile has bibliographical references for articles and documents mentioning specimens in the Museum’s collections published by any author. This profile provides information on the impact of the Museum’s collections in the scientific literature.
The two profiles provide complete coverage from 2012, while some references from before that year are also included.
