NOTICE: As of February 14, 2025, we will not be able to attend to requests for consultation or loan of zoological collections. Due to circumstances beyond our control, related to the renovation project of the Castell dels Tres Dragons bulding, which the City Council will begin in mid-September this year, logistical work is being carried out to relocate and adapt the specimens. As a result, the collection will be closed to external consultations and reviews until further notice.
The museum’s collections are essential for research. Every year they are regularly consulted by our own researchers, as well as by others from different universities and research centres. Consultations may take place on the premises, by arranging a date and time in advance with the curator responsible for the specific collection. The Geology, Palaeontology, and Zoology collections are held in the museum buildings located in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona.
