140 scientific organisations and networks signed an Open letter to the new EU Commissioner M. Gabriel in order to make the voice of science engagement heard in the programme Horizon

140 organisations and networks from 28 European and associated countries, invited by  ECSITE ( The European network of science centres and museums), signed an  Open letter to the new Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel in order to make the voice of science engagement heard in the next framework programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon Europe

These organisations are science museums- Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona is one of this- and centres, universities, living labs, science shops, research organisations as well as twelve international networks, all wishing to contribute to Horizon Europe by enabling a stronger involvement of citizens.

European Network of Science Centres and Museums (ECSITE)

Ecsite, the European Network of Science Centres and Museums, includes more than 350 organizations devoted to awakening interest in science and technology, and facilitating dialogue between science and society. The members of Ecsite are science centres, museum, aquaria, zoos, festivals, planetaria, universities and open laboratories, foundations and scientific societies, companies, local governments, etc.

The Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona (MCNB) is a full member of Ecsite and Anna Omedes, director of the MCNB, is the Vice President of ECSITE and a member of the steering committee of the Nature Group.
