  • Institució Catalana d’Història Natural (ICHN)

    The ICHN, is an institution which was founded in 1899 in Barcelona. Since 1915, it has been a subsidiary of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (Institute of Catalan Studies) and its goal is to promote the study and popularization of knowledge on natural systems and animals. It is the oldest existing naturalist organization in Catalonia.

  • C4. Consell Català de la Comunicació Científica

    The Catalan Council on Science Communication is an initiative with the support of the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation), a permanent forum where professionals and other agents meet and, from their different areas or levels, contributed to the work of science popularization. It promotes the exchange of experiences and opinions within this group, as well as seeking synergies to make the most of scarce resources and maximize the impact on the citizens.

  • Consell de Coordinació Pedagògica de l’IMEB

    The Pedagogical Coordination Council, promoted by the Institut Municipal d’Educació de Barcelona (IMEB, Barcelona Municipal Institute of Education), is made up of institutions and citizen bodies that provide educational activities for schoolchildren.

  • Barcelona Fòrum District

    The Barcelona Fòrum District an association founded in 2011 with the goal of bringing together the companies, institutions and associations located in the new business area around the Barcelona Fòrum, who carry out their respective activities, with shared values in the area of social responsibility, environmental commitment and cultural development.

  • Acord Ciutadà per una Barcelona Inclusiva

    The Acord Ciutadà per una Barcelona Inclusiva (Citizen Agreement for an Inclusive Barcelona) is a space for participation, public-private cooperation and joint action between the city’s institutions and organizations who work to build a more inclusive Barcelona with a better quality of life for all people. It is a space shared between the government of the city and civil society for social inclusion.

  • Zoological Systematics and Evolution (ZooSysEvo)

    The ZooSysEvo is a research group consolidated by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government). The Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona forms part of this group together with the Universitat de Barcelona and the Institut de Recerca de la Biodiversitat (IRBio, Biodiversity Research Institute).

  • Comissió Assessora de Conservació de la Flora de Catalunya

    The Comissió Assessora de Conservació de la Flora de Catalunya (Advisory Commission for the Conservation of the Flora of Catalonia) was founded in 2009. Is a Commission of the Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Environment of the Catalan Government), dedicated to the conservation of wild flora and endangered species.

    Josep M. Montserrat (Botanical Garden of Barcelona) is a member of the Commission.

  • Comissió de Varietats Locals Agrícoles de Catalunya

    The Comissió de Varietats Locals Agrícoles de Catalunya (Commission for Agricultural Local Varieties of Catalonian) is a Commission of the Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Environment of the Catalan Government) dedicated to the recognition and evaluation of cultivated varieties of vegetables.

    Josep M. Montserrat (Botanical Garden of Barcelona) is a member of the Commission.
