Who said that science and technology are complicated and inaccessible subjects? Quite the contrary: science and technology and even scientists are much closer to you than you imagine. Do you realize that the ‘father of botanists’ and Santiago Ramón y Cajal (a Nobel prize winner) have both passed through your pockets? Did you know that the instrument depicted on the 5000 peseta note is called an armillary sphere, which was used in astronomy and without which the expeditions of Christopher Columbus would not have been possible?
