This new research line involves the study of rocks and minerals using mineralogical and geological characterization techniques. The idea is to establish where supplies of these resources were sourced and how they were exploited during the Neolithic period. The research line covers the Gavà Mines project and the El Argar genealogy and networks project (MINECO).
This research is framed in that of the consolidated MINRESOUR (mineral resources, applications and sustainability) research group recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya (SGR 1661). Museum participants in this research line are Marc Campeny and Yael Díaz Acha.
