Every year, the “Ranking of the World Scientists: World’s Top 2% Scientists<\/strong><\/a>” database from Stanford University is published, which highlights the most relevant scientists in the world according to the citations received in their publications.<\/p>\n

Thus, Carles Lalueza<\/strong><\/a>, director of the Museum and researcher of the Institut de Biologia Evolutiva<\/a> (CSIC – UPF), and Joan Carles Senar<\/strong><\/a>, head of research of the Museum, are part of this list of the most influential researchers of 2023 at a global level. This database, developed by Stanford University and published by Elsevier BV<\/a>, analyzes information from Scopus, which classifies journals and provides a citation index. It is based on updated data in 2023 of 223,152 scientists who make up the 2% most cited in the world in 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
