{"id":18154,"date":"2014-01-31T09:43:22","date_gmt":"2014-01-31T09:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/museuciencies.cat\/area-cientifica\/linies-de-recerca\/ecologia-evolutiva\/"},"modified":"2017-12-01T13:44:44","modified_gmt":"2017-12-01T11:44:44","slug":"evolutionary-ecology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/museuciencies.cat\/en\/science\/research\/evolutionary-ecology\/","title":{"rendered":"Evolutionary Ecology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The group of Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology of the Museum\u00a0has been working since the early 1980s on aspects of social organisation, ecology, and population dynamics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The group works in close collaboration with the following groups: <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uu.se\/en\/about-uu\/\">Department<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uu.se\/en\/about-uu\/\">\u00a0of\u00a0<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uu.se\/en\/about-uu\/\">Zoology<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uu.se\/en\/about-uu\/\">, Uppsala University (Su\u00e8cia)<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/uga.edu\/\">Wildlife<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/uga.edu\/\">\u00a0Unit de la University of\u00a0<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/uga.edu\/\">Georgia<\/a><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/uga.edu\/\">\u00a0(EUA)<\/a> and <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ebd.csic.es\/inicio\">Estaci\u00f3n Biol\u00f3gica de Do\u00f1ana &#8211; CSIC<\/a>, with which the group shares coordination of several research projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The various lines of research are presented independently, although they are related to each other and share common objectives. An example of this is the study of the management of fat reserves, in which, using plumage coloration as a sign of social status, the degree of dominance of each individual can be predicted and the survival rates of dominant and subordinate birds can also be analyzed.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The group of Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology of the Museum\u00a0has been working since the early 1980s on aspects of social organisation, ecology, and population dynamics.
