Among its main objectives are: the conservation and documentation of the natural heritage of Catalonia; to promote botanical and naturalist culture; and to promote knowledge of and respect for nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Jard\u00ed Bot\u00e0nic has a close relationship with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibb.csic.es\/en\/\">Institut Bot\u00e0nic de Barcelona<\/a>\u00a0(IBB), a prestigious centre jointly managed by the Barcelona City Council \u00a0and the \u00a0Spanish National\u00a0Research\u00a0Council (CSIC).
