At present, studies centre on research, theorisation and experimentation of the more formative aspects of sustainability and geodiversity. As far as mineralogy in particular is concerned, our departmental research is centred on document retrieval in the search for knowledge about mineral geodiversity, especially in relation to Catalan and Spanish mineralogy. This project strives to ensure maximum accuracy in the mineralogical and geographical data and to establish standards of documentary quality to form the basis for future articles, presentations and publications, both external and the Museum’s own. Sustainability, geodiversity and knowledge of the environment Year2005 Duration5 years In schools, teaching covers the concepts and habits for a more sustainable world, both theoretically and experimentally. Sustainability is shown to apply in every context: society, the family, school, the street and even the Museum.
